GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Ninth Judicial District Court is seeking an Official Court Reporter for the Honorable Katharine McKay. This Court presides over felony criminal cases, civil cases, domestic relations, juvenile, probate, and other matters. This at-will position is to be full-time and primarily on site, in Pinedale or potentially Lander, with remote work to be evaluated on a situational basis.

SUBLETTE COUNTY AREA. This court is located in Pinedale, Wyoming, which sits in a high alpine valley at 7,175’, surrounded by three large mountain ranges. With many lakes, a ski resort, and incredibly close forest access, Pinedale is a hub for a variety of outdoor recreation. Two regional airports – in Jackson Hole and Rock Springs – are within a 90-minute drive. A small but vibrant community, Pinedale has many services and attractions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
General expected duties for this position include making, preserving, transcribing, and delivery of the verbatim record of proceedings for criminal, civil, juvenile, and probate, and other cases as follows:
- Reports and transcribes proceedings of court trials, hearings, or conferences as required by law or at the request of the judge.
- Timely prepares and distributes transcripts and related reports and documents. Reviews transcriptions for technical accuracy.
- Maintains records of notes and exhibits.
- Performs clerical duties related to the court.
- Attends meetings and training as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
This position requires mobility to work in a typical office setting. The applicant must have the ability to:

Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Court Reporter program.
Certification: Must possess a Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification or an equivalent certification from a certifying state within two years of hire; and be proficient in computer-aided transcription and real-time.
Notes: Employment is “AT WILL” and subject to a background check. This position is a State of Wyoming employee. SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet the following selection requirements at the time of application:
A current Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license issued by the Court Reporters Board of California

Fiduciary Reporting, Inc. is currently seeking court reporters available for criminal proceedings in the Virginia Beach and Eastern Shore courthouses.
This is a 1099 contractor position. This allows you the freedom to set your availability and how much you’re willing to work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Stenographically, or by use of voice writing equipment, reports verbatim court proceedings by use of Computer-Aided Transcription equipment and software.
Licensure is not currently required in the State of Virginia. A certificate in court reporting or voice writing is required.
May also consider candidates currently in school for stenography/voice writing (unpaid mentorship available).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
