Creative Resilience: Art’s Role in Mental Health
Creative Resilience: Art’s Role in Mental Health is the 24th annual arts and healing exhibition organized by both Ursuline College and Cuyahoga Community College’s Art Therapy programs, as well as The Buckeye Art Therapy Association. This exhibition displays a diverse array of artwork in various mediums such as painting, photography, and collage. The collection of work highlights the beauty and healing that art therapy can bring to the artists themselves as well as the world around them.
Creative Resilience: Art’s Role in Mental Health will feature a silent auction in support of art therapy programming. Bidding for baskets and other prizes will begin at the opening reception and will continue throughout the duration of the exhibition.
“Restoration through Creativity: Inspiration from the Other Side” community workshop will be held in Gallery East alongside the exhibition on Saturday, Feb 28 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and will feature artist, author, and retired ATR-BC Barbara Trauger-Querry.
